Circa 1810 – A truly exceptional and important Regency Period Decorated and Gilt Simulated Satinwood Library Chair, the scrolled back and arms with upholstered panels, the seat with an upholstered loose squab cushion and the whole raised on boldly sabred legs terminating in conforming brass cups and casters. All the panels of the frame are decorated with flowers and leaves and the mouldings are all gilt.
H: 37”, 94 cms, W: 27.25”, 69 cms, D: 31”, 79 cms.
